Home invasion in Port Dover

One suspect remains at large after a home invasion in Port Dover on Friday.

Norfolk OPP responded to Thompson Drive after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a home invasion at about 12:15 p.m.

Police said two individuals gained entry to the residence. An occupant was assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

Norfolk OPP officers, OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members were at the scene Friday. One suspect was taken into custody.

Police are searching for the other suspect.

“Investigators believe that this is not a random but rather a targeted incident that remains under investigation,” West Region OPP Acting Sgt Ed Sanchuk said in a media release.
